Noda Natsumi develops her work under two brand lines.

Under the name “Natsumi Noda,” she creates pieces inspired by organic flowers and natural motifs, infusing them with stories, emotions, and the impressions and atmospheres of a particular moment.

Under the name “Imustan,” she explores a theme she describes as “something slightly suspicious that might somehow exist,” expressing a humorous and slightly surreal world.

This tenugui is a special item that translates the worlds of these two ceramic brands into textile form.

You’ll find the playful humor of Imustan alongside the vitality and warmth of the botanical motifs from the Natsumi Noda line.

In a smooth and efficiency-driven world, this piece intentionally introduces texture as a kind of “noise.”

With each use, it offers a small sense of disruption — and the quiet richness that comes with it.
